How did crossroads begin
At the start crossroads was never meant to be a charity, as they believed had enough worthy charities involved. They were originally meant to only help people that already do good in a hard place.
However in 1995, A flood had occurred in Northern China and one of the charities wanted help from ‘Cross Roads’ but they were not set up to do so. Although this was the case they decided to help, just this once. By selling 19 boxes of textiles, this turned to 72, then 136 and later 248. Having this many supplies loaded up the Hong Kong Department of Welfare had told ‘crossroads’ that they were getting too large to not be registered’. So the HKDW gave the now charity 8 rooms. At first they thought they weren’t able to fill these rooms. However they were wrong soon supplies began to build. They weren’t only getting textile supplies, they were getting Computers, Office Equipment, Medical Equipment and so on. As you can see they weren’t able to fit all these supplies in 8 rooms.
What have they done
